We’re governed by an independent Board of Trustees who are recruited for their skills and experience. Their primary responsibilities are to set the vision for the organisation in partnership with our Chief Executive and provide scrutiny and accountability for the organisation’s work.
Tony Dalton MBE
Tony Dalton became Chairman in 2011, after retiring as a Senior Civil Servant with the Home Office. He has been involved with life in the local community since moving to Southport with his wife and three children in the early eighties. He was awarded the MBE in 2008 for services to the Home Office and young people on Merseyside.
Liz currently works as a senior commissioner in the NHS specialising in maternity, and services for children, young people and families. The core focus of this role is a commitment to service improvement and transformation to achieve better outcomes for all. However, not all of her career has been spent in the NHS, Liz has also worked in the private and community sectors. This breadth of experience provides the Board with a robust skill set, and a keen understanding of the necessity for robust financial management as essential in any successful process of change and transformation.
